Former first lady Melania Trump caused a stir following her absence from her family’s festive Christmas card.

The Trump family posed for festive family Christmas photos, with most immediate members of the Trump family present. Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée, shared the photos on her Instagram page. The images featured Guilfoyle, Trump Jr., Barron and former President Donald Trump. Tiffany Trump and husband Michael Boulos, as well as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner and their kids, were present at the photoshoot.

The former first lady was, however, not present for the shoot, causing wild speculations of trouble in paradise. Those speculations have now been put to rest with reports showing the former first lady was spending Christmas with her ailing mother.

According to a Page Six source, the former first lady’s mom, Amalija Knavs, has been very sick and Melania was by her side in the hospital.

“Melania has always been very devoted to her entire family,” a source close to the former first lady told Fox News Digital. “It should be no surprise that she spent this Christmas with her ailing mother.”

Since leaving the White House, the former first lady has mostly stayed out of the spotlight. Melania has also been noticeably absent from her husband’s campaign. Sources however say Melania and President Trump have struck a deal that will see her make more public announcements.

“Trump and his family are so secure that he will become president again that insiders at Mar-a-Lago say he’s reached an agreement with Melania to step up top-tier diplomatic appearances in 2024,” a source reportedly told Page Six. “Melania realizes it’s her time to join the ranks of historic First Ladies and leave her mark on history … she feels better prepared for her potential role the second time around.”

The former first lady also recently renegotiated the terms of her pre-nuptial agreement with President Trump. A source familiar with the matter said Melania is not planning to leave the former president. The former first lady renegotiated the terms of the agreement because she was concerned about maintaining and increasing a substantial trust for their son, Barron.
