Republicans are strongly opposing the Department of Energy’s latest decision to maintain restrictions on liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, claiming the move is driven by political motives and violates legal boundaries. The Energy and Commerce Committee members went further in their criticism, suggesting that the Biden administration is deliberately expediting a new environmental impact study focused on climate considerations.
