A violent road rage incident in Attleboro, Massachusetts ended with the arrest of a 26-year-old Liberian man who brutally assaulted a young mother following a minor traffic collision.

The incident, which occurred Friday morning around 9 a.m., involved Gladior Kwesiah and Hailea Soares. A witness captured the horrifying encounter on video, showing Kwesiah approaching Soares’ vehicle, pounding on the roof before forcefully removing the petite mother from her car.

Despite Soares’ pleas for him to stop, Kwesiah proceeded to lift her into the air and slam her onto the ground.

“By the time that I realized I was in the air, and I thought to myself, ‘I might die right now,'” Soares told ABC 7.

“The only thing that I could think of was I knew I was in the air and by the time I was realizing I was in the air and I thought to myself, like, I might die right now, I had already hit the ground. And I didn’t realize that I had hit the ground,” Soares said. “It was like a weird sensation I felt on my face and that’s when I realized I was on the ground and there was blood dripping all over my hands.”

Law enforcement arrived to find Soares severely injured. According to CBS, she suffered multiple injuries including a broken knee, broken foot, damage to her eye socket, and a serious skull injury.

“I called my friend, and I started crying and I said I can’t feel my knees, I can’t feel my knees,” Soares told CBS. “I needed her to go get my kids, so she had to go pick up my children and all I could think was I’m probably never going to be able to walk again.”

The victim, who has two children aged one and eight years old, expressed her concerns about her attacker. “I don’t know if he was having a bad day, I don’t know what that was, but if that’s the type of person he is, then I don’t think he belongs in society with the rest of us,” Soares said.

Kwesiah, whose social media profile indicates he originates from Monrovia, Liberia, and attended American International College, faces multiple charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, property vandalism, and operating a vehicle without a license.

The court set his bail at $2,500 and issued a no-contact order with Soares.
