Harris LASHES OUT During Sorority Visit

During an address in Indianapolis, Vice President Kamala Harris discussed the future and started outlining what she thought her presidency may include.

“We share a vision for the future of our nation,” Harris said. “A future where every person has the opportunity not just to get by but to get ahead. A future of social justice, health justice, economic justice. Ours is a vision of a future in which we realize the promise of America.”

Cheers and joy broke out for the newly elected Democratic candidate while speaking at the annual convention of the historically black sorority, Zeta Phi Beta. Harris belongs to Alpha Kappa Alpha, another historically black sorority.

Before the dramatic turn of events that saw Harris transition from Biden’s running mate to the presumed Democratic nominee in less than 48 hours, Harris was previously slated to speak at the event. Therefore, one of her first stops as a candidate was Indiana, which supported former President Donald Trump in each of the previous two elections.

Keeping with the theme, she contrasted Trump’s vision, which she claimed is centered on the past, with her vision for the future.

“With your support, I am fighting for our nation’s future,” Harris said. “Let us be clear about what that future looks like. I know the leaders in this room. I know the future we believe in, and we fight for. We believe in a future where, for example, everyone has affordable healthcare.”

The Democratic Party seemed rejuvenated by Harris’s candidacy, following weeks of disagreement about whether or not Joe Biden was well enough to seek a second term. With Biden’s withdrawal from the race, Harris may position herself as the up-and-coming opponent of Trump and possibly the nation’s first female president.

She urged the audience to “testify” whether they or anybody they know had benefited from the Biden administration’s forgiveness of student loan debt, pointing out that five million people had had their debt erased.

Harris further attacked the Project 2025 policy proposal from the Heritage Foundation, claiming that it will “return America to a dark past.” She declared, “This is an open assault on our kids, our families, and our future. We are not going back, despite the fanatics’ wishes to drag us back. We’re not turning around! We are fighting for the future here.”

Wednesday night, Biden will address the country. It is anticipated that he will discuss his sudden withdrawal from the campaign and maybe even touch on Harris’s candidacies.
