Experts Dive DEEPER into Biden’s MIND
Empathy and compassion are essential components of any physician’s toolkit. Everyone who faces illness does so with a mixture of courage, denial, fear, and even complete horror. Dr. Mark Siegel talked about his ongoing qualms about President Biden.
“I am responsible for sorting through the different answers and offering support in addition to treatment. There is no patient more challenging in this function than one who is losing their mental capacity.” Said Dr. Mark Siegel.
Denial is often the accompanying emotion, as the US president seems to be experiencing. And it must be agonizing if he is aware of the reality at all. Given that George Clooney, one of Joe Biden’s strongest supporters, asked him to withdraw from the race in a New York Times op-ed on Wednesday alone, Biden must undoubtedly be aware of the sharp decline in support. In fact, the president is more susceptible to related anxiety and despair right now, which could exacerbate his cognitive issues—a condition known as pseudodementia.
I have sympathy for the president because I know how embarrassed and perplexed he must be, and I also know that he doesn’t want to think that he has significantly changed. Sadly, the most well-known poem by Welsh poet and author Dylan Thomas, “rage, rage, against the dying of the light,” does not applicable in this situation. Regretfully, I have even greater sympathy and understanding for the nation and all of us Americans.
Four years ago, I noticed a lot of signals that this was going to happen. Given that neurodegenerative diseases take time to manifest, the president has displayed numerous, steadily worsening symptoms of cognitive decline since 2020. I never saw Biden’s alleged gaffes as “gaffes” rather as errors. The White House’s attempt to cover this up and have First Lady Jill Biden’s team “manage” the situation by keeping the president as far away from the public as possible was wholly unacceptable.
Remember that all of this was going on at the same time as the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, rising food costs, and a mental health crisis, particularly affecting American youth. A strong leader is required to combat these issues.
A president is by no means a figurehead in this nation, and the people of the United States should be aware of who is truly in charge. The existing state of secrecy is a grave injustice to our people, and at any moment, a serious crisis could arise that would test the mental faculties of any president, let alone one who is absolutely insane.
