Harris’ $5 BILLION Green Bus Failure

Similar to President Biden, presumed Democratic contender Kamala Harris has an extraordinary track record of failure, from the border catastrophe to all the little things.

The most recent example of this? An eco-friendly school bus scam.

As part of the 2021 infrastructure package that Biden signed into law, Harris was outspoken in 2022 about how fantastic it was that the federal government was going to spend roughly  $5 billion over five years to develop fleets of electric school buses.

Right now, less than 7 percent of the districts that were first included in the program have successfully made the transition to electric vehicles. Many districts have pulled out of the initiative due to opposition from their school boards or the expensive infrastructural modifications required to charge the buses.

The project was never financially viable.

“This only makes economic sense if the bus is paid for with a grant like we received,” stated one superintendent. The savings are not worth the expense because it is so expensive.

The electric buses are three times more expensive, and replacing the entire fleet across the country would cost more than $200 billion, as the Washington Free Beacon, which broke the story on the incident, pointed out.

It is extremely shocking that Harris would even consider endorsing the idea of sending billions to school districts that aren’t even capable of using the funds at a time when American standardized test scores are at an all-time low, public schools are beset by violence and chaos, and radicals in teachers’ unions have taken control of the educational system.

That is the mindset of radical leftists like Harris.

The awful irony of this situation is that she and the rest of Team Biden were unable to handle this appropriately, but they nevertheless kept giving the program piles of cash.

In support of his decision to move away from the diesel fuel used to power the majority of school buses, Harris listed several ambiguous but “very serious” health issues that impair “the ability to learn.” It appears that she and her friends from Bidenite were inhaling the vapors themselves.
