A salon owner’s controversial TikTok video criticizing Trump supporters has resulted in significant client losses at her Idaho establishment. Tiffney Prickett, who runs Voiage Salon in Coeur d’Alene, sparked backlash after expressing strong views about Trump supporters in her viral social media post.

“Trump basically gave small men the ability and the courage to be misogynistic and hateful and say s**t like ‘your body, my choice’ and ‘you won’t have a choice’ and ‘you will bear my child whether you like it or not,'” Prickett said in the video, according to the Post.

The 40-year-old divorced mother of three voiced her frustration about men’s behavior and their perceived lack of support for women. “The comments are so gross. The things men say to women are so gross. And I don’t know why more men don’t come to the defense of women. I don’t know why men witness aggression towards women and stand idly by and do nothing. I don’t understand,” Prickett added, according to the paper.

The consequences of her stance became apparent when a longtime client’s husband demanded a refund for pre-purchased gift cards. In a follow-up video, Prickett revealed, “I knew she was a Republican, which I don’t have a problem with you being a Republican. I have a problem with you wanting to strip human rights away from people. I will stand up for human rights and suffer those consequences.”

Despite facing criticism and potential business losses, Prickett remained firm in her position. She stated that she’d prefer working at Chipotle rather than accommodating Trump supporters in her salon. Following the controversy, her salon’s website appears to be inactive, and she reports that Trump-supporting clients are “dropping like flies.”
