Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) angrily lashed out at MSNBC’s Katie Tur during a Monday interview after the TV host pushed on the lawmakers comments about former President Donald Trump.

Pelosi, during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Katy Tur Reports,”  contrasted President Joe Biden’s achievements with Trump’s before claiming the former president had the worst job loss record.

“Now on the ballot saying he should have immunity from whatever he might do, I mean, really, I have sympathy and respect for everybody who votes,” Pelosi said. “I’m just glad people vote. I know some of them will never, will always reject those of us who might look different to them in leadership and the rest, and that’s that. But there are those who have real legitimate concerns about immigration, globalization, innovation, and what does that mean to their job and their family’s future? And we have to address those concerns. And Joe Biden is doing that. Created 9 million jobs in his term in office. Donald Trump has the worst record of job loss of a president. So, we just have to make sure people know.”

Tur, however, pushed back on Pelosi’s comment, noting that the global pandemic and the lockdown were the reason for the massive job loss under the Trump administration.

“That was a global pandemic,” Tur said.

The lawmaker went into a full meltdown in response to Tur before angrily calling a “Trump apologist.”

“He had the worst record of any president. We’ve had other concerns in our country. If you want to be an apologist for Donald Trump, that may be your role, but it ain’t mine,” Pelosi shot back angrily.

Tur rejected the lawmaker’s claim, saying, “I don’t think anybody can accuse me of that.”

Pelosi’s accusation comes as a surprise as Katy Tur is a left-winger.

The California lawmker’s meltdown comes as the latest poll show Trump taking his biggest lead over Joe Biden. According to a recent CNN poll, Trump is at 49%, 6% ahead of Biden’s 43%, when the two are polled head-to-head.

The former president’s lead over Biden increased significantly when third-party candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Jill Stein, and Cornel West were added to the poll. Trump holds a 42% rating, while Biden slipped to 33%. Kennedy trails at 16%, followed by West at four%, and Stein at 3%.
