A knife-wielding male suspect attacks four girls inside a theater at an AMC multiplex in Braintree at 6:00 p.m. local time. According to the Braintree police department, the suspect entered the cinema without a ticket, went into the theater, and then attacked the four girls, ages nine to 17 years old.

The girls were rushed to Boston-area hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. An AMC employee who was working at the time of the attack said the suspect was wearing an oversized trench coat, sunglasses and a long blond wig.

However, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before the police arrived. The police eventually located him at a McDonald’s restaurant in Plymouth, Massachusetts, after he was reportedly involved in a similar assault.

Upon arrival, the Massachusetts State Troopers discovered both a male and female victim at the restaurant suffering stab wounds. They were also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Massachusetts State Police (MSP), a description of the suspect’s car was given, which helped the troopers locate the vehicle along a public way in a sandwich.

The suspect led the MSP into a car chase before crashing the vehicle and was taken into custody shortly after. The suspect was treated at a nearby hospital.

“Preliminary investigation suggests a likely connection to an earlier incident at a movie theater in Braintree resulting in non-life threatening injuries to four juveniles,” the MSP said in a statement.

According to the New York Post, the suspect is believed to be linked to a murder investigation in Deep River, Connecticut. An alert was put out for him by the Connecticut State Police (CSP) on Saturday, describing him as dangerous and armed with a 10-inch knife.

“At approximately 3:36 p.m, Connecticut State Police Troop F- Westbrook responded to a report of a disturbance at an address in Deep River,” CSP announced. “One person was found dead at the scene and a suspect in this investigation has been taken into custody.”
