Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, made a shocking revelation in newly released transcripts of congressional testimony he gave earlier this year.
Fauci, who was also the former Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden, admitted there was no evidence to support six-foot social distancing to limit the spread of Covid-19. He also couldn’t recall if he saw or conducted any research on the child masking mandate he signed off on during the pandemic.
During the pandemic, the six-foot social distancing and child masking were measures adopted globally that were believed to have effectively controlled COVID-19.
While speaking to the counsel on behalf of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic earlier this year, Fauci revealed that he couldn’t recall how the six-foot social distancing occurred.
“You know, I don’t recall. It sort of just appeared,” he said.
The former director also added that he “was not aware of studies” that supported the social distancing rule. In addition, he told the committee’s counsel that he didn’t remember reading anything to support the idea that masking kids would prevent COVID.

“Do you recall reviewing any studies or data supporting masking for children?” a staffer asked Fauci.
“You know, I might have, Mitch, but I don’t recall specifically that I did. I might have,” Fauci replied.
In addition, Fauci admitted to not thoroughly reviewing grants he signed off on, including those worth millions of taxpayer dollars. He also indicated that grant money did not go through any national security reviews.
Fauci expressed uncertainty on foreign labs receiving U.S. grants like the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), operate at the same standards as American labs.
Meanwhile, a batch of emails obtained by the subcommittee showed that Fauci’s former senior adviser, Dr. David Morens, withheld information about EcoHealth’s grant.
Morens admitted to using a private account to escape Freedom of Information Act requests about EcoHealth’s Wuhan grant.
Morens claimed he deleted records related to it and helped his boss to do the same through a secret back channel.
The coronavirus committee is seeking Fauci’s personal email and phone records. The committee will also clarify Fauci and Morens’ secret back channel during the June 3 hearing.
