Biden Gives Voting OK to Illegal Immigrants

Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen is warning about policies by President Biden that he contends give illegal immigrants and non-citizens a “path” to register to vote.

During a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Allen cited Executive Order 14019, signed in 2021. He contended that the Biden administration’s expansive reading of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 “turns the entire federal bureaucracy into voter registration agencies that are on steroids.”

The secretary announced his office initially investigated after a secretary of state received a complaint from an alarmed voter who claimed they’d received a state absentee ballot application addressed to a deceased relative the voter said died two years ago. Allen said his office subsequently found that NVRA requires state agencies receiving federal dollars, such as Medicaid and other welfare offices, to offer voter enrollment forms to every person who interacts with a given agency – meaning they could potentially be in the country illegally as long as they sign an attestation they are U.S. citizens and submit/register under penalty of perjury that attention.

“These individuals receive information on voter registration regardless of whether they are ultimately approved to receive the public benefits they applied for,” Allen said.

He stressed the importance of reforming the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to allow states to conduct their own voter registration independently of federal control. “It’s through state agencies that are federally funded and, of course, mandated by federal law, which is the National Voter Registration Act of 1993,” Allen explained. “It doesn’t matter how they come in contact – through the mail, in person, or online – if they apply for these public benefits, they receive the voter registration form. It’s very troubling that non-citizens, whether legal or illegal immigrants are receiving those voter registration forms.”

Allen emphasized the principle that only American citizens should be allowed to vote in elections. “I strongly believe that the people of Alabama believe that only American citizens should be allowed to vote in our elections. That’s something that I’m not going to back away from,” Allen stated firmly. He called for sensible reforms to the NVRA. He urged the necessity of having President Trump back in the White House and strong GOP majorities in both the Senate and the House of Representatives to ensure that citizenship verification protections are implemented.

“It is imperative, moving forward, that we do that, (have Trump back in office),” Allen declared.
